Regal iClub Hotel, the first Carbon Neutral hotel in Hong Kong has recently received its second CarbonCare Champion Label which is the highest level of Carbon Care, meaning 100% reduction. The CarbonCare Labeling Scheme encourages and recognizes the efforts of organizations, entities and groups in tackling climate change in 3 steps which are Measuring, Reducing and Offsetting carbon footprints. Regal iClub Hotel has achieved the highest level of CarbonCare Label which means 100% reduction, at around 380 tones, awarded for carbon neutrality status. Regal iClub Hotel’s Carbon Neutral Program The offsets are from the Sichuan NW Afforestation and Reforestation Project which has been certified in 2009 under the United Nations Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), Executive Board and the Board of Climate, Community and Biodiversity Standard (CCB). |
