Linda Coll - Carnival Foundation director, Micky Arison - Carnival Corporation & plc chairman and CEO, Lydia Muniz - BBBS of Greater Miami president, Gale Nelson – BBBS of Greater Miami senior vice president.

Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Greater Miami were the recipients of a USD$150,000 cheque from Carnival Corporation & plc as part of National Mentoring Month.

The donation will allow the organisation to provide adult mentoring opportunities for 100 children in South Florida.

Carnival has had a history of supporting BBBS with the company hosting 90 Miami-Dad high school students each month at its Miami headquarters as part of their Scholarship and Mentoring Program.

Students are given the opportunity to get an insight into the business world by being paired with a member of Carnival’s management team as part of the program with the company also providing 15 four-year scholarships to graduating seniors per year.

150 scholarships have been purchased to date valued at USD$1.8 million through the Florida Pre-Paid Scholarship Program.
